30-Minute Dinner

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cooked pasta (any type you prefer)
  • 1 cup of cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup of fresh spinach, packed
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Equipment Needed

  • Large pot for boiling pasta
  • Skillet or frying pan
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Step-by-Step Instructions

To start off, I boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to the package instructions until it’s al dente. This usually takes about 8-10 minutes. While that’s cooking, I prepare my vegetables. I chop the cherry tomatoes in half and wash the spinach. There’s something so fresh and vibrant about working with these ingredients! Once the pasta is done, I drain it, making sure to reserve a bit of the pasta water for later. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
