Ingredients

Step-by-Step Instructions

First things first, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your cake pans to ensure your cake slides out easily, which saves a lot of unnecessary hassle! In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. The smell of sweet butter filling my kitchen is absolutely wonderful! Add the eggs one at a time, making sure each is well incorporated before adding the next. Finally, mix in the milk, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt.
