Kings Hawaiian Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

– 4 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 packet of active dry yeast (about 2 1/4 teaspoons)
– 1 cup milk, warmed
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 2 large eggs
– 1 tablespoon cinnamon
– 1/2 cup brown sugar
– 1 cup powdered sugar (for the glaze)
– 2 tablespoons milk (for the glaze)
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for the glaze)

Equipment Needed

– Large mixing bowl
– Whisk
– Rolling pin
– Baking dish
– Parchment paper (optional)
– Measuring cups and spoons
– Cooling rack

Step-by-Step Instructions

To start off, I place the warm milk in a large mixing bowl and sprinkle the yeast over it, letting it activate for about 5 minutes. The smell of the yeast bubbling up is one of my favorite parts! Next, I whisk in the melted butter, sugar, and eggs until smooth. Then, I gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a dough starts to form. This is where the magic happens as the ingredients come together to create a beautiful, bouncy dough. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
