Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownie Bites

Ingredients

– 1 box of brownie mix (plus ingredients required on the box)
– 1/2 cup butter, softened
– 1/4 cup brown sugar
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup chocolate chips
– Optional: sea salt flakes for topping

Equipment Needed

– Mixing bowls
– Electric mixer (or a whisk)
– Baking sheet
– Parchment paper
– Cookie scoop or tablespoon
– Oven

Step-by-Step Instructions

First, start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). I’ve found that a slight increase in temperature helps the brownies become fluffy while still maintaining that fudgy texture. Then, prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper to prevent sticking. In a mixing bowl, make the brownies according to the package instructions, and pour the batter onto the baking sheet, spreading it out evenly. This will form the base for our brownie bites. Once that’s set, I like to stick it in the oven for about 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean. It’s so exciting to see it rise and smell its chocolatey goodness!
