Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars

Ingredients

– 1 and 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
– 3/4 cup granulated sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 2 cups peeled and diced apples (I love Granny Smith!)
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Equipment Needed

– 9×13 inch baking dish
– Mixing bowls
– Electric mixer (handheld or stand)
– Rubber spatula
– Measuring cups and spoons
– Parchment paper (optional for easy removal)

Step-by-Step Instructions

First, preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). While that’s warming up, I like to prepare my baking dish by greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper for easier removal later. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until it resembles wet sand. Press this mixture into the bottom of your prepared baking dish to create a nice, even crust. Bake it for about 10 minutes until it’s set and slightly golden. This will help to lock in that delicious buttery flavor! (See the next page below to continue steps…)
