Ingredients
– 2 cups fresh blueberries (you can use frozen, but I prefer fresh)
– 8 oz cream cheese, softened
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 box yellow cake mix
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 1/2 cup rolled oats
– 1/2 cup brown sugar
– 1 tsp cinnamon
– A pinch of salt
Equipment Needed
– 9×13-inch baking dish
– Mixing bowls
– Whisk or electric mixer
– Measuring cups and spoons
– Rubber spatula
– Oven
Step-by-Step Instructions
First things first, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Use a whisk or electric mixer to beat these together until smooth and creamy. It’s so easy that I always find myself licking the whisk! Next, gently fold in the fresh blueberries, being careful not to smash them. Once this is mixed, you’ll want to spread it evenly in the bottom of your greased baking dish. I like to level it out with a rubber spatula, which ensures every bite is perfectly creamy. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
