7 Layer Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 can (refried beans, 16 oz)
  • 1 package (guacamole, 8 oz)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (1 oz)
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup sliced green onions
  • 1 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Equipment Needed

  • 9×13 inch serving dish or a shallow platter
  • Mixing bowls
  • Stirring spoon
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Measuring cups

Step-by-Step Instructions

To start, I like to prepare all my ingredients first. This means opening cans, chopping veggies, and measuring everything out. I find it helps with the flow when I’m layering the dip. The first layer will be the refried beans; simply spread them evenly across the bottom of your serving dish. Make sure to keep it smooth and level, as this will serve as the foundation for the rest of the layers. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
