10-Minute Comfort Food Pasta

Ingredients

– 8 ounces of pasta (spaghetti, penne, or your favorite shape)
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Equipment Needed

– Large pot for boiling pasta
– Skillet or frying pan
– Colander
– Wooden spoon or spatula
– Grater for cheese (if you’re using a block)

Step-by-Step Instructions

First, we need to cook our pasta. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil and add your pasta. Make sure to stir it a bit, so it doesn’t stick. While the pasta is cooking, I recommend gathering all your ingredients. It makes everything so much smoother! Once the pasta is al dente (about 8 minutes), reserve a cup of pasta water and then drain the pasta in a colander. Don’t forget to save that pasta water; it’s liquid gold for making the sauce!
