Ingredients
– 1 pound of thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin work best)
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1 cup bell peppers, sliced (you can use a mix of colors)
– 1 cup onion, sliced
– 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1 large egg
– 1 ½ cups almond flour
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Equipment Needed
– Large skillet
– Mixing bowls
– Rolling pin
– Baking sheet
– Parchment paper
– Sharp knife
Step-by-Step Instructions
To start, I heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once it’s shimmering, I toss in the sliced beef and season it with salt and pepper. I cook it for about 3–5 minutes until browned. Then, I add the sliced bell peppers and onions, sautéing them alongside the beef until everything is soft and flavorful. The aroma in my kitchen during this step is simply heavenly! After that, I remove the skillet from the heat and mix in half of the mozzarella cheese, creating a fantastic filling mixture.
