Ingredients
– 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
– ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
– 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 3 large eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup sour cream
– 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
– ¾ cup salted caramel sauce
– Sea salt, for garnish
Equipment Needed
– 9-inch springform pan
– Mixing bowls
– Electric mixer
– Rubber spatula
– Measuring cups and spoons
– Oven
Step-by-Step Instructions
To kick things off, I preheat my oven to 325°F (160°C). While it’s warming up, I grab my springform pan and mix the graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter until it resembles wet sand. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the pan and a bit up the sides to create a beautiful crust. Bake this crust in the oven for about 10 minutes, then let it cool while I get the cheesecake batter ready. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
