Ingredients
– 1 pound ground beef
– 1 can (10 ounces) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies
– 1 packet taco seasoning
– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 8 small flour or corn tortillas
– Optional toppings: sour cream, lettuce, diced onions, jalapeños, cilantro
Equipment Needed
– Large skillet
– Wooden spoon or spatula
– Measuring cup
– Taco holder or baking sheet (optional)
Step-by-Step Instructions
To start, I heat my large skillet over medium heat. Once it’s nice and warm, I add in the ground beef. I like to break it up with my wooden spoon and let it cook, stirring occasionally. As the beef cooks, the amazing smell fills my kitchen—there’s truly nothing quite like it. After about 5-7 minutes, I wait for the beef to be nice and browned, making sure to drain any excess grease. Then, I toss in the can of Rotel and the taco seasoning. Stir everything together and let it simmer for about 5 more minutes to really meld those flavors! (See the next page below to continue steps…)
