Step-by-Step Instructions
The first step in making these delicious Buffalo Chicken Bacon Mozzarella Bombs is to preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). That little whirr of the oven kicking on instantly sets the mood in my kitchen. While the oven is heating up, I gather all the ingredients and prepare to tackle the filling. In a large mixing bowl, I combine the shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, Buffalo sauce, mozzarella cheese, and softened cream cheese. I find using my hands to mix this is much easier than a spoon; it lets me feel the texture and know when everything is well combined.
Once my filling is ready, it’s time to prepare the crescent roll dough. I love the convenience of using the pre-made dough, but I’ve learned that you need to be gentle when opening the tube. I’ve had a few surprises where the dough pops open loudly! After unrolling the crescent dough onto a flat surface, I pinch the seams together to form a rectangle. I like to roll it out just a bit with a rolling pin to ensure it’s nice and even. The thinner the dough, the better the outside gets crispy while encasing all that delicious filling inside.
Now comes the fun part—assembling the bombs! I scoop a generous spoonful of the filling and place it in the center of each section of dough. Then, I fold the dough over the filling like a little pouch, pinching the edges tightly to seal everything in. This part is super important; if you don’t seal it well, the filling might ooze out while baking. After assembling, I place each bomb onto a prepared baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring there’s enough space between them for heat circulation. (See the next page below to continue…)
