Ingredients
– 8 ounces spaghetti
– 1 pound ground beef (or turkey)
– 1 packet taco seasoning
– 1 cup salsa
– 8 taco shells (hard or soft, your choice)
– 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
– Optional toppings: lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, avocado
Equipment Needed
– Large pot for boiling pasta
– Skillet for cooking meat
– Colander for draining spaghetti
– Mixing bowl
– Serving platter or taco holder
Step-by-Step Instructions
First, I start by boiling a large pot of salted water for the spaghetti. Once it reaches a rolling boil, I toss in the spaghetti and cook it according to the package directions, usually about 8-10 minutes. While the pasta is cooking, I heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground meat. I cook it until it’s browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Then, I sprinkle in the taco seasoning and mix it with a splash of salsa to enhance the flavors. Once the spaghetti is al dente, I drain it and mix it directly into the skillet with the meat. Itβs at this point that the kitchen starts to fill with the most mouthwatering aroma!
