Root Beer Float Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made graham cracker crust
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup root beer (plus a little extra for drizzling)
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup crushed root beer barrels (optional, for garnish)
  • Maraschino cherries (for topping, optional)

Equipment Needed

  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups
  • Whisk
  • Freezer-safe pie dish

Step-by-Step Instructions

To begin, I like to take my vanilla ice cream out of the freezer to let it soften slightly before mixing. This makes it much easier to blend with the root beer. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened ice cream with the root beer, stirring gently until the mixture is smooth and creamy. The smell of root beer will start to waft through your kitchen, and trust me, it’s heavenly! Once it’s combined, pour this luscious mixture into your pre-made graham cracker crust and spread it out evenly. Now, we need to freeze it to set. Just pop it into the freezer for about four hours or until firm. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
