Ingredients
– 4 medium-sized potatoes
– 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar works best)
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– Salt and pepper to taste
Equipment Needed
– Baking sheet
– Parchment paper
– Mandoline slicer or sharp knife
– Mixing bowl
– Measuring spoons
Step-by-Step Instructions
To kick things off, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). While the oven warms up, I usually grab a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Next, it’s time to slice the potatoes. I find that using a mandoline slicer gives me the perfect thickness, but if you’re careful with a knife, that works too. Aim for about 1/8 inch thick slices. Now, in a mixing bowl, combine the potato slices with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss them well until every slice is well coated. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
