One-Pan Cheesy Jalapeño Chicken

Ingredients

– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1 cup diced jalapeños (fresh or pickled, depending on your spice preference)
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon onion powder
– 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– ½ cup cream cheese, softened
– Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Equipment Needed

– Large oven-safe skillet
– Cutting board
– Sharp knife
– Measuring cups and spoons
– Spatula

Step-by-Step Instructions

First things first, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). While that’s heating up, I love to prepare my chicken by seasoning it really well with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. This combination infuses the chicken with amazing flavors right from the get-go. Once seasoned, I heat olive oil in my skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for about 5 minutes on each side until it’s golden brown. This step is where the magic really begins!
