Italian Stromboli

Ingredients

– 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1/2 cup salami, sliced
– 1/2 cup pepperoni, sliced
– 1/2 cup bell pepper, diced
– 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
– 1/4 cup marinara sauce (plus extra for dipping)
– 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
– Olive oil for brushing
– Parmesan cheese, for topping
– Flour, for dusting

Equipment Needed

– Baking sheet
– Parchment paper
– Rolling pin
– Mixing bowl
– Brush for oil
– Knife or pizza cutter

Step-by-Step Instructions

First, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). I love to get this part done first so that the oven is nice and hot when my Stromboli is ready to go in. Next, on a clean surface, dust some flour to prevent sticking, and roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Make sure it’s larger than your fillings so you can roll it up easily! Once I have my dough ready, I love to lay it out and start adding my fillings, spreading the marinara sauce evenly over the dough. Then, sprinkle the mozzarella cheese generously, followed by the salami, pepperoni, diced bell pepper, and onion. I can almost taste the layers of deliciousness already!
