– 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
– 2 large eggs

– 3 cups all-purpose flour
– 2 teaspoons baking powder
– 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
– ½ teaspoon salt
– 2 tablespoons cinnamon
– ¼ cup granulated sugar (for topping)
Equipment Needed
– Mixing bowls
– Electric mixer or whisk
– 9×13 inch baking pan
– Parchment paper (optional for easy removal)
– Measuring cups and spoons
– Rubber spatula
Step-by-Step Instructions
To start, I preheat my oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease my 9×13 inch baking pan, or line it with parchment paper for easy removal later on. In a large mixing bowl, I cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until it’s light and fluffy. The buttery aroma mixed with the sugar is something that never fails to make me smile! Next, I add in the eggs, one at a time, and the vanilla extract. I make sure it’s all well combined. This delightful mixture is truly the heart of our snickerdoodle bars.
