Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 3 cups apples, peeled and chopped (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup caramel sauce (plus more for drizzling)
Equipment Needed
- 9-inch springform pan
- Mixing bowls
- Electric mixer
- Measuring cups and spoons
- Spatula
- Paring knife
- Baking sheet
Step-by-Step Instructions
To start, preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). In a medium-sized bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of your springform pan to create a solid crust. Make sure it’s compact for a nice base. Bake this crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes until lightly golden. The smell of toasting graham crackers is so inviting! Once done, let it cool while we prep the filling.
