- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples (I love using Granny Smith and Honeycrisp!)

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1-2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Equipment Needed
- Mixing bowls
- Rolling pin
- Baking dish (9×13 works well)
- Pastry brush
- Measuring cups and spoons
- Stand mixer (optional, but super helpful!)
- Plastic wrap or clean kitchen towel
Step-by-Step Instructions
First, I like to start by preparing the dough. In a large mixing bowl or using my stand mixer, I combine the flour, granulated sugar, yeast, and salt. Then, I warm the milk to about 110°F (just warm to the touch, not hot), and stir in the melted butter. Once that’s mixed, I pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture and add the eggs. I mix until everything is combined, and then I knead the dough until it’s smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes by hand or 4-5 minutes in the mixer. I cover it with a damp towel and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
